About Us

Meet the bloggers behind The Sisters' Tale:

Shauna, 29, has loved reading and writing since she was a small child. Tragically, Shauna broke up with the reading and writing thing after feeling burnt out from college. But for all you romantics out there, you should know that they reunited in a way that would make the most stoic person shed a single tear. That hiatus turned out to be exactly what Shauna needed to realize it was her true passion all along. She now hopes to publish her own YA book series one day. When Shauna's not staying up way past her bedtime reading, or brainstorming plot for her own plot ideas, she loves watching pretty people in space and all things science fiction, absurd amounts of tv, having her hand at baking and cooking, horror flicks, and epic trailer scores.
Book recommendations: (YA): The Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy by Laini Taylor, The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo, The Vampire Academy series by Richelle Read, This is Not a Test & Some Girls Are by Courtney Summers, The Diviners by Libba Bray, The Mara Dyer trilogy by Michelle Hodkin, The Ashfall trilogy by Mike Mullin, and Keeper of the Black Stones by P.T McHugh. (Adult): The Kate Daniels Series by Ilona Andrews, The Chicagoland Vampires series by Chloe Neill, and Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn.

Susan, 32, has a teaching degree, and has loved to read in her spare time for as long as she can remember. She is a tea addict and a history geek. She loves discovering new bands, good tv, and interesting things about the world. She desperately wants to travel to London one day. Her dream job is to be the showrunner for the tv version of  Fearless by Francine Pascal.
Book recommendations: (YA) The Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth, Anything by Sara Dessen, The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Myer, Midnight City by J. Barton Mitchell, The Archived by Victoria Schwab and the Fearless Series by Francine Pascal.  (Adult) A Song of Ice and Fire series by GRRM, 11/22/63 by Stephen King and The Fever series by Karen Marie Moning

I wanted to send you guys an email, but I can't seem to find your email (the little picture doesn't link to anything)! If you could email me at thecosydragon at gmail dot com, that would be amazing.

Cheers,

I now found your email, never mind. I wasn't emailing you about a book to review, which is why I didn't check the policy tab. Sorry!

About Us

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Once upon a time, there were two sisters -Susan and Shauna - who were moved and mesmerized by stories through any medium, since they were teeny tiny. This passion stayed with them throughout adulthood, and after becoming even more enthralled with Young Adult fiction in recent times (and some Adult & MG!) they decided they just had to open up their own book blog and share their enthusiasm with the world, or well, to anyone who would listen.
