Stacking the Shelves (1)

Stacking The Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews where you share what books you've acquired from various places throughout the week

First of all, I just wanted to say that we have a brand new layout here. The one we had before was more of a place-holder till we got more up and running. Now that we are getting the hang of things, we wanted something a little different and we're working hard trying to get everything in working order. Anyway, this is my very first StS, and I am so excited to share the books I got this week with you all! All of these, most likely, are going to be for review. So stay tuned.

In my mail:

Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes (ARC) - This is the first ARC I've ever had in my possession, so it's very exciting! I can't wait to read it. I won this from the Breathless Reads Fall 2012 giveaway which was hosted by Beth Revis.

From the library

Defiance by C.J. Redwine - This one has been my most anticipated for ages now (that cover is sure striking, isn't it?!) and it was torture waiting so long to get my hands on it. I've heard some wonderful things about this book, and I'm ecstatic to finally get started.

False Memory by Dan Krokos - I love a good action thriller mixed with sci-fi, and this one seems absolutely fantastic. I've also been hearing some terrific buzz about this one. That cover just draws you in!

Every Day by David Levithan - This has one of the most unique premises I've ever seen and it seems like such a truly powerful tale. Also, that cover. I didn't realize how stunning it was till I saw it in person. Wow.

Auracle by Gina Rosati - I picked this one up randomly because I remembered reading a review for it on Goodreads that peaked my interest. I find the idea of astral projection fascinating and the overall story seems gripping. Also again, I have to say, look at that cover.

Please feel free to link me to yours in the comments below! I'd love to see what you guys are reading/going to be reading soon. :)

  3. I woke up this morning and saw this new layout, I am in love! hah. Glad to see you guys getting the hang of things.

Great books. I plan on getting Defiance soonish. I haven't been buying many books lately because of my upcoming trip, but once I return, definitely. Maybe I'll even get some while I am over there.

    1. Awww, haha, thanks Jen! :D Yeah, basically my whole day yesterday was dedicated to doing the layout, but I'm so pleased with the results.

Thanks! I already started Defiance and I'm only in the very beginning but I love it so far, and I think you will too. I can't even imagine how excited you are for your trip!!

    2. If I knew you could do graphics and stuff with layouts, I would have asked you help with mine long ago! lol

    3. Awww! I'm not nearly as good as some people are, but I've been a graphic maker since about '05. I used to have my own graphics LJ but now I mostly make gif sets for tumblr, but I still make icons and graphics when need be. I can't code my own layouts from scratch, but I know the basics and I can customize them enough to my liking. I'm more familiar with Tumblr and Livejournal though, so it took me a while to get used to how things are done on blogger, lol. Anyway, if you ever need help with graphics and layout stuff, just let me know! :)

  15. Such amazing books! I want to read every single book you got this week. Unfortunately, my library isn't very up-to-date, so I don't get to read newer releases unless I buy them/receive them for review. :)

About Us

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Once upon a time, there were two sisters -Susan and Shauna - who were moved and mesmerized by stories through any medium, since they were teeny tiny. This passion stayed with them throughout adulthood, and after becoming even more enthralled with Young Adult fiction in recent times (and some Adult & MG!) they decided they just had to open up their own book blog and share their enthusiasm with the world, or well, to anyone who would listen.
