Feature and Follow Friday (13)

Hello everyone! It's another Feature & Follow Friday! It's been a blast meeting everyone and following so many blogs. We hope this week will be just as successful as last week!

Feature and Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee.

This week's question is...

Q: Activity! Who do you want to be? If you could choose any character from a book. What do you think that character looks like and what do you have in common?

If I could choose any character I would choose Gaia Moore from the Fearless novels. Everyone remembers those novels right? There are 36 of them, plus 2 super editions, and a spin-off series. Gaia is one of my literary role models. She's tall, blonde, smart, and doesn't take anyone's shit. She's a master chess player and martial artist, but really just longs for the simple things in life like family, love, friendship, acceptance from her peers. She also loves fighting evil and injustice. So she's a regular superhero!! However, she has this genetic flaw (or blessing- to some people) that doesn't allow her to feel fear. On the surface, that seems awesome! I mean...she never has to be afraid...but she also doesn't know what it's truly like to be brave. She doesn't really know what it's like to become a hero. She doesn't think about "taking a risk" because there's no risk to take. It's like the famous quote from "Game of Thrones": "Can a man still be brave if he's afraid? That is the only time a man can be brave." That really is the cornerstone of her character. She feels like she's not apart of the human race because she cannot feel its most basic emotion. There's always something about ourselves (or alot of somethings) that make us feel like freaks. Gaia is especially relateable in that way.

About Us

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Once upon a time, there were two sisters -Susan and Shauna - who were moved and mesmerized by stories through any medium, since they were teeny tiny. This passion stayed with them throughout adulthood, and after becoming even more enthralled with Young Adult fiction in recent times (and some Adult & MG!) they decided they just had to open up their own book blog and share their enthusiasm with the world, or well, to anyone who would listen.
