HBO has released the first "in-production" video for the third season of Game of Thrones. You can watch it here.
The BBC has officially announced that Merlin will end after the currently airing season five. The show will conclude with a special 2 hour episode around Christmas. Season 5 will premiere January 4th on SyFy. [EW]
NBC has an official return date for the second half of Grimm's second season: March 8, 2013. The last ten episodes will run repeat-free. [TVLine]
NBC's drama Do No Harm, a re-imaging of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, will premiere on January 31st. [TVLine]

The BBC has moved the Season 3 production date of Sherlock to March 2013, effectively pushing back the premiere date until late 2013 (possibly early 2014 for the USA!). [TVGuide]

Dreamworks is in negotiations for the rights to The Light Between Oceans, a debut novel by M.L. Stedman. David Heyman (Harry Potter) and Jeffery Clifford will produce the project. [Deadline]
Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan will reunite and reprise their roles in X-Men: Days of Future Past, playing the older versions of Professor X and Magneto, respectively. Hugh Jackman is also in talks to return as his character Wolverine for the film. [HR]
BOOKISH FILM TRAILER OF THE WEEK........
Les Miserables, based on the book by Victor Hugo, will be released in theaters on December 25, 2012. The film stars Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway. [x]
