TST Gazette (2) - Happy 2013!

TST Gazette features site news, updates, weekly monthly recaps, as well as what reviews & posts to expect from us each month.

________________________________________________________________________________

Happy New Year everyone! We hope everyone's 2013 is off to a great start. Anyone read any good books so far?!

Here's a little preview of what to expect from us this month, review wise. Of course some of these are subject to change, but this is the plan:

Reviews:
Keeper of the Black Stones ARC
Everbound ARC
Bruised ARC (Mini-review, full length review closer to publication)
Shadowlands
Paper Valentine
Shades of Earth
The Archived
Florence

We will have some other mini-reviews out, but we're not sure which ones will be reviewing for those yet, so stay tuned.

We figured with the new year, why not revamp our review system?! It's still based on a 5 star system but it's fairytale/high-fantasy themed that goes more with our layout, and we love it. Along with every rating, we will be indicating how high or low each book should be on your priority list. Also, for every review, we will be including a breakdown of the following categories:

1. Plot
2. Characters
3. World-building/setting
4. Romance
5. Pace
6. Writing Style

Each category will be judged by a letter grade. By breaking down the book by letter grade, we feel this helps make it more clear to potential readers what the strongest/weakest parts of the book are.

So an average rating for us will now look something like this:
(I'll just make this is as completely random as possible)

1. Plot A-
2. Characters A
3. World-building/setting A+
4. Romance B-
5. Pace A
6. Writing Style A+

What do you think?! Let us know in the comments.

That wraps this edition up of TST Gazette.  We hope everyone has a delightful week! ♥♥

About Us

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Once upon a time, there were two sisters -Susan and Shauna - who were moved and mesmerized by stories through any medium, since they were teeny tiny. This passion stayed with them throughout adulthood, and after becoming even more enthralled with Young Adult fiction in recent times (and some Adult & MG!) they decided they just had to open up their own book blog and share their enthusiasm with the world, or well, to anyone who would listen.
