Welcome to the first edition of Covered, our new cover commentary feature. In this feature, we will post the artwork and discuss various covers for upcoming books.
In this edition, I will be talking about the brand new cover reveal for the upcoming sequel to The Selection by Kiera Cass entitled The Elite. Originally, the reveal was scheduled for October 17th, but Kiera got permission to share it early! YAY! :)
I loved The Selection and even though I read it months ago, I still plan on writing a review for it before The Elite comes out. I remember when I first found out about the trilogy, I was so blown away by the cover for the first book. I mean it is just SIMPLY GORGEOUS. It's also quite revealing. America has her hands over her face as if to hide her true intentions of wanting to stay in the Selection process. She appears to be very closed off to the possibilities her new status can bring. In the equally stunning cover for The Elite, she appears much more confident and open. She seems to know what she wants and possibly what life path to choose (Aspen or The Prince). Not to mention, both covers are so bright and colorful and just demand your attention. I am really excited about this book! I think it's going to be a great one.
The Elite comes out April 23, 2013.
PS: Doesn't the cover model look like Bonnie Wright?!
Love this cover! Can't wait for the book (I'm totally rooting for Prince Maxon)! Another gorgeous dress.
ReplyDeleteI fell in love with The Selection's cover. It's one of the prettiest covers I'e seen, and The Elite's cover is just as pretty! I still haven't read The Selection yet, but I really, really want to!
