Feature and Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee.
This week's question is...
Q: What do you hope to accomplish with your blog? Is it to one day become an author yourself, just for fun, maybe get some online attention, or maybe something very different?
Well, my sister and I started this blog because we love books and we wanted to share our favorites with the world. We had no idea there was such a hugely intertwined community of book bloggers. It's been overwhelming trying to figure out how everything works, but it's been just such an amazing experience during this past month. We've met so many different people and joined so many different blogs. For me personally though, I just want to contribute ~something for the good of humanity. I mean I tend to waste my time online by playing Facebook games or reading spoilers (and complaining about them). It's just such a nice thing to be able to write a review or an article and make someone's day, including my own. I also love discovering books and then recommending those books to everyone! I just love discussing everything and anything, but books will always be close to my heart.
Let me know what you think in the comments! Or if you want, you can just say hi!
Hopping through. I spend a lot of time wasting time on the Internet. Gossip columns are more of a weakness than FB for me. I should stop it. I'd have more time to read.

Do you read Oh No They Didn't? LOL.
DeleteThanks for stopping by! :)
I completely agree with you. Facebook kills me. I would be on there all the time if it weren't for reading.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by earlier!

I know right?! So many distractions! :)
DeleteThanks for stopping by! :)
Oh gosh, the internet is such a huge suck hole of my time! It definitely is good to put some of that time into something a bit productive and useful! (tho writing reviews does tend to lead me to spending hours blog hopping or surfing around goodreads! lol BTW, your blog is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYeah I really like having a place to gush about books. Amazon wasn't really right for me since I gushed a little too much! But I do still post in other places.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Follow Friday
Have a GREAT weekend!

Eugh... Facebook. It's one of those modern day evil necessities, right? Book blogging and meeting such a massive community is definitely the way forward.

Lovely answer. I would much rather spend my time blogging than Facebooking! I'm new in the community and I also had no idea it was so large! It's amazing.

OMG, yes! I love the feeling I get by posting on my blog. It feels good to be sort of productive, as opposed to playing on the Internet, or watching TV. Great answer and thanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteNew follower! :)

Good answer I would love to follow you but GFC doesn't work on self hosted blogs. You might try adding a linkyfollowers widget its free. Just go to linkyfollowers.com .
ReplyDeleteDuring my first month I remember how overwhelming it could get but I loved it anyways c: Thank you so much for stopping by my blog, new follower via GFC

The whole world of book bloggers and its closeness kinda suprised me too! I can't say I'm really "hooked in" to it yet, but making friends is hard for me :/
